I won the two song poem LPs I was hoping to win! Yay me! So, I have decided that I need to take a break from buying so many. I wouldn't call it an obsession yet, but my bank account might! There is another cool album on eBay right now though... It is on the Royal Master label and looks nice and cheesy. I must restrain myself.
My boyfriend David continues to kick butt in the song-poem writing business. It is certainly more a labor of love with him than a financial boon. He has written some fun songs and it is so interesting to see the lyrics people send as well as to hear his interpretations of them.
I have created a couple more lenses on Squidoo. They are Hey You Guys!!! The Electric Company! and Soup Is Good Food. I love soup (cooking and eating it) and the Electric Company was one of my favorite TV shows as a kid. I have a couple of other ideas up my sleeve for lenses as well...

Song-Poem Extravaganza!

I 've been on a song poem buying spree over the past couple of weeks. I've always liked song poems, but never really thought about buying any or collecting them until I made a Squidoo lens about them. It's called "Song Poems - American Pop Culture Oddities". I think it is a durn good lens, too. :)
Anyway, over the past week or so, I have bought 4 song poem LPs and a couple of 45s. I've received some of them, and they are pretty cheesy cool - just as I expected them to be!
I got a couple of "Now Sounds Of Today" LPs on Columbine Records and a Rodd Keith 45 on the Premier record label. I have bids in on a set of 2 song poem LPs from the 80's - wish me luck!
The cover of one of the LPs I got looks just like the picture at the top of this post. I really need to stop spending money on song poems now, but I'm like a junkie trying to score the perfect high... If I can just find that undiscovered, crazy, wacky song poem to beat all song poems...

Squidoo, Anyone?
I just found out about Squidoo today. I think I could become an addict. I created my first lens, it is about Vegetarian Vampires. If you've never checked it out, I highly recommend it. From what I have read, Squidoo can be an excellent way to promote a blog, website, store, or just to get information out to the general web public. Squidoo also seems to donate a lot of money to charity, which is a plus.
